5 Reasons Why Arsenal should bid 20 million pounds for Kelechi Iheanacho

(1) The team needs a long-term striker with world-class potential. The jewel of Manchester City academy seems underused in City's current setup and will most likely continue to be with Aguero, Bony and Nolito all ahead of him in the pecking order at Man City. His plight has nothing to do with his potential or ability but just a matter of his being the least experienced of the quartet. Only regular football will see him improve to the height his talent suggests.

(2) Arsenal has not been able to convince any current top-rate striker to sign. Having failed to sign Higuain, Arsenal look desperate in their attempt to sign Lacazette. They need to take some level of risk if they are to land a quality striker in today's market.

(3) Man city attempting to  signing Marlos Moreno, Leroy Sane, Gabriel Jesus is a slap in the face to Kelechi who sacrificed a lot to prepare for the upcoming season in the blue half of Manchester. The lad turned down the chance to join up with his teammates for the Olympics, so he could impress Pep [Guardiola]. And this is how he is rewarded.

(4) Arsene Wenger has nurtured players with a similar skillset in the past, most notably Thierry Henry, Nicolas Anelka and most recently Robin van Persie. He would most likely be able to sharpen Kelechi's already bludgeoning attacking skills.

(5) Arsenal already has a huge following in Iheanacho’s home country, Nigeria, which would only increase with his acquisition. However this is not the big ticket item here. If the coup is successful, Iheanacho could be teaming up with Iwobi, Akpom and at some point Nwakali. All considered some of the best teenage prospects in the league and likely to form the spine of a national team. Team chemistry anyone?
